Merav Yuravlivker is a Co-founder of Data Society, where she’s spent the last decade helping organizations unlock the power of data through education. Her journey started in a New York City classroom, teaching special education through Teach for America. From there, she moved into curriculum design and online training at the International Baccalaureate Organization and later became one of Kaplan’s top-rated GRE instructors.

While she loved teaching, Merav wanted to make a broader impact. In her free time, she began learning to code and exploring how data could be taught more effectively. That passion quickly grew into a bigger vision. Within six months, she left her job and co-founded Data Society with the goal of making data and AI training more accessible, engaging, and relevant for professionals across industries.

Since then, Merav has led the company in building custom, industry-specific programs that meet teams where they are and help them grow. Along the way, Data Society has been named one of Inc. 5000’s fastest-growing private companies two years in a row. Merav was also recognized as a finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year® Mid-Atlantic Award.

At her core, Merav believes that data literacy is a human right in the modern workplace—and she’s on a mission to close the gap.

Dmitri Adler is a Co-founder of Data Society, where he helps organizations turn data into a strategic asset. His Wall Street career included positions at Freeman & Co. (currently Houlihan Lokey), J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank, and Macquarie Group’s proprietary Special Situations Investing Group. But it wasn’t long before he realized the real opportunity wasn’t just in analyzing data but in helping others learn how to use it.

Driven by that insight, Dmitri set out to bridge the gap between technical expertise and business decision-making. He co-founded Data Society to make data literacy and AI training approachable, practical, and directly tied to business outcomes. With a background in economics and finance from the University of Virginia, he brings a sharp analytical lens to every conversation. Still, it’s his passion for clear, accessible communication that sets him apart.

Under Dmitri’s leadership, Data Society has delivered custom training programs to Fortune 500 companies, federal agencies, and healthcare systems nationwide. His work aligns data strategy with workforce development so organizations can move faster, think smarter, and confidently lead.

At the heart of it, Dmitri believes that data is only powerful when people know how to use it—and he’s committed to helping leaders build the skills and culture to make that happen.

Fred Knops is the Senior Vice President of Solutions and Energy Sector Lead at Data Society, where he helps energy and telecommunications leaders harness data and AI to protect critical infrastructure and drive innovation. With over 30 years of experience, Fred brings a rare mix of deep technical expertise and executive leadership.

Before joining Data Society, Fred led companies at the intersection of tech and strategy, serving as CEO of LendPro and Senior Vice President and Partner at Booz Allen Hamilton. Throughout his career, he’s advised major players like Dominion Energy, AT&T, BP, Siemens, and T-Mobile, along with federal agencies including the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, and Defense.

At Data Society, Fred leads engagements that deliver AI-powered solutions and tailored training programs for clients navigating complex regulatory environments and evolving infrastructure demands. He’s especially passionate about empowering energy sector teams to use data for analysis, real-time decision-making, and long-term resilience.

Fred holds an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MBA from George Washington University, and a postgraduate degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School.

Scott Shimp is the Vice President of Solutions at Data Society, where he helps organizations bring data science and AI to life through hands-on training and practical implementation. With more than 15 years of experience in technology and consulting, he’s led projects that use data to manage risk, detect anomalies, improve intelligence, and ensure compliance, always focusing on driving real business impact.

At Data Society, Scott works closely with instructional designers and technical experts to create instructor-led programs and custom solutions for government and commercial clients. Whether it’s foundational training for executives or deep-dive sessions on building and deploying AI models, his goal is to meet learners where they are and help teams translate knowledge into action.

He holds a BA from Princeton University and an MA in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. Outside of work, you’ll find him in Maplewood, New Jersey, spending time with his wife and two kids.

Meghan Cipperley is the Vice President of Learning at Data Society, where she leads with a people-first mindset and a passion for designing transformative learning experiences. With a career that spans startups, government agencies, and corporate organizations, Meghan has built a reputation for crafting programs that challenge individuals to grow while tackling real organizational barriers.

Her expertise lies in human dynamics, adult learning, and emerging technology. She brings a sharp strategic eye to every engagement, shaped by her journalism and media affairs background, and pairs it with a deep understanding of how people learn best. From large-scale change initiatives to executive education programs, Meghan has led teams through major learning transformations that are both measurable and meaningful.

At Data Society, she guides the development of training programs that are as empathetic as they are effective, grounded in adult learning theory, powered by data, and designed to align with business outcomes.
